We drove up to silver lake one evening and it was sure beautiful!

The trip didn't start out very well though. Emily got car sick on the way up the canyon and threw up all over herelf so she was topless...luckily it was nice and warm. Then when we got there we realized Sam didn't have any shoes on. So he rode in the stroller and we carried Emily.  It was just fine though.  There were so many cool things to see...there was a huge moose over in the trees that just sat there munching the leaves while we walked right by.

 Diving ducks.   The kids thought it was funny to watch them with their bottoms poking  up out of the water

 Chipmunks all over the place.  We saw several deer too.

It was wonderful to get out of the heat and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.  We are so lucky to live in this valley with the beautiful mountains so close by.
