I'm getting all behind again, but we've been having a  wonderful time with all the family here with us.  Sunday was such a nice day.  Kelley was called to be in the bishopric as the first counselor a few weeks ago so they set him apart this Sunday.  It's been pretty wonderful to see how the Lord has taken this rough lump of clay and is forming him into the servant He needs him to be.  I have seen him change in many ways over the last 20 years and in particular the last 5 or 6 years.
To have the opportunity to serve in the bishopric with Gordon changed Kelley's heart.  Now working with Bishop Blake as the Executive secretary he has been molded again in different ways.
Kelley has experienced a lot in his life, good and not so good.  But I think his past helps him be able to relate to people of all different walks of life.  Where ever he goes, people just start talking to him like he's a long lost friend.  It happens so often that now it's just funny.  I think it's a special gift.
Kelley's patriarachle blessing is pretty amazing ...scary, but amazing.  If he lives worthily, he has a future of  much service and  many blessings ahead of him.
It was nice that Kim and Chris were able to be there with him.  The first counselor in the new stake presidency set him apart and gave him a wonderful blessing.  I think this was probably the first assignment  they have had like this since they were just put in last month.  They called Jerry Smith to be the second counselor and Dave Matheson to be the executive secretary. When they were talking to our families after they set the men apart, President Despain spoke of the love he had for each of them.  These guys all go way back and have forged relationships of love and respect for each other from the experiences they have shared.  When President Stuart read the names, I had a peaceful feeling that it was right.
We only had 4 girls in young women so we decided to combine.  I felt bad because Bonnie and Stacey had both prepared lessons.  Just one of those weeks when everybody was out of town.  Stacey gave a great lesson on temple ordinances and Bonnie helped too.
Later that afternoon, we all went up to Marks for a barbeque.  It was  so nice,  Kevin was there and we got to meet some of Marks friends Robin and Barbara. They were so nice. Chris and Andrew and Kim came too.  It was the perfect end to a good day.
