Yesterday was another lovely warm  November day so we decided to take the boat up fishing again.  Will C. and his dad and Rick came with us...oh and Colton!  Oh my goodness that kid has a lot of energy!  When we drove up to them up at the lake, Colton was jumping up and down and he didn't stop the whole time!  He is such a cute little stink though, and funny as heck.

Will is a good dad and is super patient with Colton and tried to get him to stick close to him but he wanted to fish in the back by Kelley and myself.  Kelley rigged him up a pole and cast it out for him...then Colton would reel it in (usually ending up in a big tangled wad which Kelley would patiently unwind)  Then when he got bored with that he started sticking lures in my pants pockets.  We made a little game of it and named the wiggly lures and played like they were our pets. I had about a dozen of them in my pocket by the time we headed home.

We had caught so many fish the past two times fishing that when we went to get worms, we thought we ought to get an extra container!  Ha! that was optimistic!   We didn't catch nearly so many this time.  It was really weird...we went to the same spots we had just been a couple days before and there was hardly any action at all.  We got impatient and kept moving around to try different spots but still not catching many.  Will and his dad caught a few, and Kelley caught one here and there, but Dan and I were skunked till the very end when we went back to East portal.  Then I started catching a few...one that was pretty big and Dan caught some too.  We ended up staying till it was almost dark..man when the sun goes down, it's cold!

Will and his dad ended up catching quite a few and with the few rainbows we caught, they had some nice fish to take home for a neighbor lady.  It was a fun day for everyone....hate to see them end.
