It sure seems like time is flying faster and faster these days...I can't believe we are well into November!
I had a real nice week...it's always good spent with friends and family.
Monday evening we went to dinner with all the girl friends to celebrate the birthdays we were months behind on.  It sure was good to get to sit and visit with everyone and catch up on their lives.  We had the best waiter that night...he was really funny but also very on the ball!   When you go to Cheesecake factory, ask for Dustin.

Wednesday night we went to see the high school musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie" for young women.  Jordan B. had the lead and McKenzie and Abby were in it too.  Jordan has a great voice and did great with his acting part.  It was kind of fun cause the bishop bought enough tickets for all the  young women, young men, leaders and our husbands to go too.  There were lots of others from the ward there supporting too.  The talent of some of these young people is pretty amazing.

It was supposed to be a pretty good day, so we decided to go up fishing again.  It turned out to be an even better day than Friday!  It was very mild and the water was calm as could be all day.  We caught a ton of fish and brought some nice rainbows home for Judy, Ric,k and Dave.   I caught a real whopper...probably the biggest one yet.  It's sure fun when you feel that nibble on the line!  We had some memorable incidents...one that I would mention is Dan being in such a hurry to get his pole in the water after moving to a new spot that he runs right into the glass door.  Ha!  I haven't laughed that much in a long time.

 That's my whopper....seriously about 25 inches

The day flew by and before we knew the sun was going down...got one last beautiful shot of the lake as we pulled the boat off.
We ran into terrible traffic on the way home so I was barely able to make it to the volleyball game.  so glad Stacey was there to coach them.  The girls played great...we had so many show up ( and a few from a couple other wards in the stake that didn't have a whole team so they added them to our team) that we had a lot to substitute in.  All the girls wanted to play so it made it kind of hard.  The team we played against had a lot of younger players so we were able to beat them quite easily and substitute in all of the girls.

So Kelley is pretty amazing.  He had been out working in the garage for quite a few days...I didn't know what he was doing.  Then Monday, he comes in the house with this...
How cool is that?  It's a box for Katie to display her new jewelry pieces in. (Kate has started making some really cool jewelry  (I will put some pictures on another post)  and is selling it on Etsy...also doing a big boutique in a few weeks!  so proud of her!) He did some really cool things with it...in trying to give it a rustic look, he put the hinges and hardware in acid (which completely disintegrated some of them!)  so then he formed his own clasp (thinking...what would grampa Braegger do?)  I love how he wrote the name of Kate's  new company on the box with twisted wire.
We looked all over for a box that would just fit it so we could mail it to her but none of them were just right so Kelley made a box.  We got it all wrapped up (lots of red duct tape from Kelley) and I put her address on the front.  Kelley said they promised at the post office that it would be there in two days so we were both excited to hear from Kate on Thursday.  We talk with her all the time, and she didn't mention any package so we thought 'for sure on Friday!'  Still, she said nothing about any package.  I started getting nervous about it getting lost so I looked up the tracking number.  They said they didn't have any record of that  number.  Oh dear.  They also said it could be just not recorded yet.  We were pretty frustrated cause there wasn't anything we could do but wait.  Then on Saturday afternoon, when we were coming home from the temple,  I got a text from Kate saying "did you mail me a package...they called me from my old apartment saying I had one there"  Oh man I about cried!  I had put her old address on the package!  I was so glad they would contact Kate!
When she got over to her old apartment and got the package, she called back in tears, saying it was the best surprise she ever got!
