This was the parade I was telling you about.  I think this was about the fanciest float.  There was only one other one better and that didn't make it to the end of the route where we were sitting.  We had seen it earlier in the day when we went to get some gas.  It was a silver glittery float that had a bunch of old ladies covered in silver sequins and feathers on it. There was a sign on the side that said "Hoochie Mamas"  Haaaaaa  Only in Mexico

Oh this one was classic too. From the dog lovers of Los Barriis...I SHIHTZU NOT! I wish they would have picked up that poor dying dog that Maggie had befriended and was now attached to us and taken it with them!

It was fun to see how their community comes together...pretty much anyone could be in the parade...all you need is a costume, some balloons, or some crepe paper.
They ended up at a community center where they ate, sang and danced and carried on long after baja midnight.   (which was kind of unusual because most places there roll up the sidewalks and shut everything down as soon as the sun goes down) The band playing, singers singing and the sounds of a good Mexican fiesta carried from the town up to Marks house and you could hear everything as clear as if it was next door.
Then as soon as things quieted down, some dogs started barking.  No kidding.  They didn't stop all. night. long.  Ha!  no sleep that night!
