We got into Newport Beach around noon and met Katie for lunch.  She is super busy at work right now, so it's tough for her to get away...kind of bad timing on our part but we got to spend some lovely evenings together.  We got into our hotel, changed our clothes and headed for the beach.  The weather was really nice...we lucked out and the "May Gray" stayed away while we were there.

That night we met Kate after work and went to dinner.  She was working on a bridal shower for Ali and wanted to visit a candy store in Balboa for a "candy bar" that she was making, so we strolled around there, ate fabulous chocolates, and took some pics on this cute bench by the bay...Beautiful day!
