What a fun week with Olivia! Just can't thank Camille enough for letting me have this time with her.
Cafe Rio...always fabulous
In primary on Sunday, they talked about super hero's. Liv has been wearing this mask ever since. She drew this picture of her family...her heroes!
It was super hot last week...over a hundred for several days. We cooled off with the hose and the wading pool
This was so funny. KC was teasing Liv with the hose. He had it kinked and told her there was something in the hose and to look and see what it was. Then he let it go and it squirted her in the face. She turned around and tried to pull the same trick on him. She said look in the hose...there's a clown in there! She's a tough kid and a good sport. She has a sense of humor just like her moms.
I took Liv over to the Taylorsville pool one afternoon. She loved it and it was really quite nice to just sit in the water and be cool.
One day we went to Seagull book. I was showing her all the cute books for kids with princesses and Tinkerbell and hello kitty. She looked things over and picked up a book on Egyptology and went over in the corner and sat down and started looking through it. She was there about ten minutes while I looked at other books. Then she comes up and says, "Can I get this one grandma? I love this Egypt stuff!" HA! She is a unique child! A deep thinker and wise beyond her years.
We read through the whole book when we got home and she was very concerned about the mummies. She wanted to know why they were wrapped up like that and if they were still alive when they got wrapped up.
We looked through some of the big boxes up in the garage and came across this old slip the girls used to wear. Liv thought it was a perfect ballet dress.
Olivia got to spend Saturday with Aunt Chewey. I was meeting with my sisters at Teina's house, so I dropped her off on my way. She had a fun day playing with Curtis's kids and Candice's cats and getting spoiled. She wanted to stay indefinitely, but I had Candice bring her home Saturday night. She couldn't stop talking about all the cool things at Aunt Cheweys house. She loved her new friends, Candice's basement, and Candice's cat "Monster" She thinks monster is very smart because when they were doing a puzzle, they couldn't find a piece and monster came over and put his paw on a piece and it was the right one!
We dug out the old mannequin head and Liv spent hours fixing her hair and putting on pretend make up.
So last Sunday, we were talking about how out of shape we were and how we wanted to lose a few pounds. Kelley throws down the challenge to do P90X every day till Newport. He was game to do it too and has been working out with KC and Jared. Candice came over after work and we did upper lower middle. It was killer. But this was us still smiling and standing after the work out.
When ever Olivia starts missing her mommy, we go get on the computer and skype with Camille. It is so cute to watch Sam light up when he sees Olivia. He giggled and acted like he wanted to jump right into the computer. He said Hi grandma just as clear as can be and waved and blew kisses to Olivia. Olivia has gotten along really well though and has only felt homesick a few times.
Doesn't Lizzy look nice in this scarf?
