Thursday was a busy day. Emily had preschool ,then KC was flying in for Jonas's blessing so we needed to pick him up, then Camille and Kellen were getting home later that night. Everything was going along fine till KC text us and said his flight was delayed. Ha ha I wasn't super surprised. He was flying on Allegiant. Allegiant can be really great or really dumb. The prices are low, and it's really easy when it works, but then they are just not that reliable. Kellen's uncle died that week and Brittney had flown to Utah on Allegiant for the funeral. When they got to the Ogden airport, they wouldn't let them land because it was too snowy so they turned around and came back to Arizona! Kate has had several bad experiences where they were just delayed for hours...no big deal, the pilot just didn't show up! Haaaaaa!
Anyway, he just told us he would keep us posted as to when he got on his way. We waited and waited, then about two hours later, he said they were boarding. It wouldn't have been a problem but Kellen and Camille's flight was getting in about the same time! We were going to divide up and each get one of them, but Jonas had been crying so much that day, I was dreading sticking him in his car seat for the drive to the airport. We got a call from Camile and she said they would be a while getting their bags so it would work to pick up Kc first, then go to the other airport to get them.
Everyone was so happy to see mom and dad!
Sam couldn't wait to show KC all his Pokimon cards...it's funny how that has all come around again for the next generation!
Even Shelly was glad to see them. Camille makes some gourmet meals for this turtle!
We went for a fun hike on Friday. It was such a beautiful day!
They had had quite a bit of rain so everything was so green! There really is so much beauty in the dessert!
Emily helped me make a cake for the blessing luncheon.
Jonas wasn't as excited about his cute outfit as we were.
Kellen gave Jonas such a special blessing.
It was such a special day. There were lots of friends stopping by all day, Brittney's family, which is a party in itself, and good food!
So glad we could share this wonderful day with them!
