One day we decided to go down to laguna to the 1000 steps beach.  We had gone there in the spring and had fallen in love with this beach.  Camille was worried about getting her little family down all those steps (not really 1000...more like 300, but still a good hike) so she borrowed this wrap thing from Heather.  Emily has loved these  things since day one so she was happy as a clam to be all snuggled up close to mommy.

When we got down there and got settled, we were going to head over to the big cave on the far side of the beach...we had been telling Olivia and Sam about it and they were excited to see this cool cave.  But then Brenda told us that a life guard they had seen at the top of the stairs had told them the cave was off limits  now because of all the moss that had grown on the rocks, making it  really slippery and it was also high tide.  KC, Candice and Olivia had already headed over there so we took off after them to tell them not to go in the cave.  By the time we got down there, KC was already past the mossy rocks and at the mouth of the cave.  We hollered at him to come back, but by this time, the life guard  was running up to us to tell us to all leave that area.  We left the cave and enjoyed playing  in the water instead.  It was really cool when Spencer found a big starfish and he let the kids hold it.  The waves were so tempting, I had to jump in and play too.

Coming up those steps is way less fun than going down, but it's worth the hike!
