We had a really good day fishing last Thursday.
The weather was beautiful...a little nippy when the wind would blow...sure glad to have the cabin to get out of the wind...and you CAN fish from inside the cabin! I had to plow KC over one time to get through the doorway to get to my pole in time to catch my fish, but I know he would have done the same thing! This competition is brutal.
Kelley caught the biggest fish I have seen any of us catch. It was a real doozer.
We saw a huge bald eagle flying around. We said, "wouldn't it be cool if he swooped down and caught a fish like the seagulls do?" Right after we said that, it swooped right down and and caught a fish! Ha! Very cool! It's hard to see in this picture, but it was really big!
We found this great spot where the fish were biting a lot and marked it on the GPS fish finder thing....then just kept going back to that spot. Kelley was on fire...had fish on both poles at the same time a few times! Now that was funny! He would pick one up...reel in a little bit, then think he had lost it and set it down, then the other pole would jump so he would do the same thing, then he had them both going and was trying to reel them both in!
He ended up catching 18...I got 6, KC had 8 and Nelson 10.
Can't believe it's the middle of October and we are still getting some warm, wonderful fishing days in.
Maybe mother nature is trying to redeem herself for the awful cold spring we had!
Love it!
